Handling of Personal Information

Milk Inc. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") establishes the following privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users (hereinafter referred to as "Users") in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as "the Services").

Article 1 (Personal Information)

"Personal information" refers to "personal information" as defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and means information about a living individual which can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth, address, phone number, contact details, and other descriptions included in such information, as well as data related to facial appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and the insurer number on a health insurance card, which can identify a specific individual on their own (personally identifiable information).

Article 2 (Method of Collecting Personal Information)

The Company may ask Users to provide personal information such as their name, date of birth, address, phone number, and email address when making inquiries. Additionally, the Company may collect transaction records, including personal information, between Users and partner companies (including information providers, advertisers, ad distributors, etc.; hereinafter referred to as "Partners").

Article 3 (Purposes of Collecting and Using Personal Information)

The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Services
  2. To respond to inquiries from Users (including identity verification)
  3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns of the Services, and information about other services provided by the Company or third parties
  4. To contact Users when necessary for maintenance or important notices related to the Services
  5. To identify and refuse service to Users who violate the Terms of Use or attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or unjust purposes
  6. To allow Users to view, edit, or delete their registered information and view their usage status
  7. To charge Users for paid services
  8. To notify Users of changes to the terms of use or other important matters
  9. For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Change of Purpose of Use)

The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information only when it is reasonably deemed to be relevant to the original purpose. In the event of a change, the new purpose will be notified to Users or published on the Company's website by a method prescribed by the Company.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)

The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the User,

except in the following cases and when permitted by laws and regulations:

  1. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult
  2. When it is especially necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and obtaining the consent of the individual is difficult
  3. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national agency, local government, or an entrusted party in executing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the consent of the individual would impede such execution
  4. When the following matters have been announced or published in advance, and the Company has notified the Personal Information Protection Commission:
  5. When outsourcing all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
  6. When personal information is provided due to business succession such as a merger
  7. When personal information is used jointly with a specific party, and the items of jointly used personal information, the scope of joint users, purpose of use, and the name of the party responsible for management have been notified or made readily accessible to the individual

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)

When requested by a User to disclose personal information, the Company will promptly do so after confirming the request is from the User themselves. However, all or part of the information may not be disclosed if any of the following applies, and if so, the User will be notified promptly:

  1. If the identity of the requester cannot be verified or authority of proxy cannot be confirmed
  2. If the Company does not possess the requested personal data
  3. If disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the User or a third party
  4. If disclosure would significantly hinder the proper conduct of the Company's business
  5. If it would violate any law or regulation

Notwithstanding the above, the Company generally will not disclose information other than personal information such as historical or characteristic data.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)

If a User believes that the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, they may request a correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Correction") according to procedures set by the Company. Upon confirming the request is from the User, and if deemed necessary, the Company will promptly make the Correction and notify the User accordingly.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information)

If a User requests suspension of use or deletion (hereinafter referred to as "Suspension") of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the intended use or was obtained improperly, the Company will conduct a necessary investigation without delay. Based on the results, if it is deemed necessary, the Company will promptly carry out the Suspension and notify the User accordingly.

If carrying out the Suspension would require a large cost

or is otherwise difficult,

alternative measures will be taken to protect the User's rights and interests.

Article 9 (Changes to Privacy Policy)

The Company may revise this Policy without notifying Users, except as otherwise provided by law or this Policy. Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Policy shall take effect from the time it is published on this website.
